AET 441 - Industrial Robotics When Offered: F, S

This course explores the general and technical aspects of industrial robots, providing a comprehensive overview of robotic systems and the subsystems that compose them. Some of the topics include development history of industrial robots, safety issues and maintenance of robots, manipulator configurations and work envelopes, sensors and actuators (electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic) used in industrial robots, control and programming of robots, and integration of robots into modern manufacturing. The course includes appropriate laboratory and project activities.
Prerequisite(s): AET 293 .
