This course introduces students to microeconomic concepts and theories underlying the behavior of individuals, health care providers, public and private organizations, and governments in the health care market. Primary attention will be given to the cost structure of the health care industry, market failure associated with the provision of health care, and the evaluation of health care policy.

Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of C in ECON 200 .
