Risk assessment involves estimating the risks to human or ecosystems from chemicals, harmful microorganisms, radiation, technology, or any other factor that can influence health and well-being. The course will focus on quantifying the risks to human health of exposure to chemicals and pathogenic microorganisms. In this course, we aim to explore all of the major components of risk assessment, learning how to make the critical calculations but also exploring the underlying assumptions and considering the implications for policy and public health.
