This course is an introduction to the principles of fire prevention and fire theory. An emphasis is placed on the Life Safety Code of the National Fire Protection Agency and pertinent standards from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 106 or equivalent, and EHS 101.
