KINS 206 - Genetics and Exercise 3 Credit(s) 3 Lecture Hour(s) 0 Lab Hour(s)
This course develops a basic understanding of the processes that lead from genetic information to protein formation, and their influence on the development of disease and physical performance. Students will gain a basic understanding of inheritance patterns of genetic traits and their influence on health in specific populations. Students will understand the role of the cell, genes, and proteins in health, sports, and disease.
Prerequisite(s): KINS majors only and a minimum grade of C in KINS 209 , and a minimum grade of D in CHEM 104 or CHEM 106 .
