CAEE 363 - Engineering Fluids Mechanics Lab

When Offered: F, S, SS

1 Credit(s)
0 Lecture Hour(s)
2 Lab Hour(s)

This Course includes a set of laboratory exercises designed to reinforce and demonstrate engineering fluid mechanics and hydraulics concepts. Basic concepts of significant figures, error propagation, Vernier calipers, and graphical analysis of experimental data will be taught using examples and assignment exercises. Laboratory hands-on activities include calibration of a dead-weight pressure gage; flow measuring devices such as venturi meter, orifice meter, weirs, and notches; the energy of the fluid in motion; airflow measurement; forces on the submerged surface; and the impact of the water jet.
