This is a basic course in fundamental thermodynamic principles. The topics covered include energy, heat and work, thermodynamic properties of substances, real and ideal gases, first and second laws of thermodynamics, introduction of power cycle and refrigeration cycle.

Prerequisite(s): CHEN 200, MATH 231, PHYS 241 (all with C or higher).
