This course presents the advanced NDE technologies, such as acoustic emission techniques, magnetic flux leakage techniques, radiographic techniques, thermal infrared testing, microwave techniques, ultrasonic holography, and vibro-thermographic techniques. For each of these technologies, a series of topics will be discussed: physical principles, testing procedures, application areas, equipment, instruments, data acquisition, data analysis, flaw indication, advantages and limitations.
