Computer Science Minor

The Computer Science Minor program is designed to meet the growing demand for professionals with computing knowledge and skills. This program provides the training needed to apply computer science knowledge, techniques, and tools to produce computing-based solutions. To complete the program, students must complete and pass 12 credit hours in 200-level courses or higher. A minor in this content area requires a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours not incuded in the baccalaureate degree plan of study at the 200-level or above. Students must complete at least 24 hours of academic credits in their major before declaring a minor and must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. A student may not have more than two minors, regardless of their major. The minor will be printed on the student's transcript but not on the diploma.

Prerequisites
Computer Science Minor Prerequisites: MATH 131 with C- or better; COMP180 or MATH 123 or ECEN 227; COMP 163 with C or better, and COMP 167 with C or better
Earning the Minor
• Earn at least a C grade in each of the required courses (COMP 280, COMP 285, COMP 350, COMP 410) • Have a GPA 2.0 and above for all the required courses towards the Computer Science Minor
