Supply Chain Management Minor

The minor in Supply Chain Management is offered to any student completing the courses of study listed below. The SCM Minor course sequence is a strong complement to all business majors, as well as industrial engineering and agricultural science, to name a few. The SCM Minor provides students with basic knowledge of supply chain management, such as distribution strategies, planning, and procurement, while also working on students' communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.

The program requires 18 credit hours and must be completed and passed with a minimum grade of C. A minimum of twelve (12) credit hours at the 200-level or above not included in the baccalaureate degree plan of study. If the minor requires 18 credit hours, only six (6) of those credits may overlap with the major baccalaureate degree plan of study. General Education Courses shall not be included in the minor. A student must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of academic credit in their own major before declaring a minor and must have a minimum GPA of 2.0. A student may not have more than 2 minors regardless of the student’s major. The minor will be printed on the transcript and not the diploma. Students must complete all coursework related to the academic major and minor before the University will award a baccalaureate degree. No substitutions will be allowed. A student must have at least 132 total credit hours, and follow the above policy statements to earn minor. At least seventy-five percent (75%) of the courses required for the academic minor must be recorded on the transcript as institutional credits, which must be completed from NC A&T.
