This course is a study of objects and structures in equilibrium. Topics include scalars and vectors, forces and moments, free-body diagrams, objects and structures in equilibrium, centroids and centers of mass, virtual work and potential energy. Testing engineering materials for measuring mechanical properties will be experienced.
