This course is a continuation of CAEE 430 emphasizing the concepts of reinforced concrete theory. The design of doubly reinforced beams, continuous beams, and beam-column behavior of concrete columns is addressed. Such topics as beam deflections, reinforcing bar bond stresses, and development lengths are also presented.
