CHEN 220 - Analytical Methods in Engineering When Offered: F, S, SS

This course introduces contemporary computational methods and tools for numerical analysis in engineering. It includes numerical methods in differentiation, integration, interpolation, root-finding, linear and nonlinear regression. Linear algebra topics include matrix manipulation, solution of linear simultaneous equations, and solution of ordinary differential equations. Each topic involves projects with numerical computations using MATLAB.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 132 (with a grade C or higher).
