CST 384 - Energy, Power and the Environment

This course will cover the basic concepts of electric power generation, utilization and power networks. This course covers the development and current status of energy sources, technologies, consumption patterns, conservation and energy policies. The course will place emphasis on the environmental effects of various choices made at each step of the energy cycle. The course will also examine those choices from technological and socioeconomic points of view. How total energy consumption and the global economy, affects the environment will be studied.

Prerequisite(s): CST 312 .
