This is an intensive study of professional practices, skills, etiquette and attitudes of the mass communication industry in preparation for an off-campus field learning experience.

Prerequisite(s): There are different prerequisites for different concentrations: Mass Media Production (JOMC 492.01) - Grammar Proficiency Exam, JOMC 206, JOMC 220, JOMC 244, JOMC 259, JOMC 275, JOMC 306 or JOMC 375*, ; Multimedia Journalism (JOMC 492.02) - Grammar Proficiency Exam, JOMC 220, JOMC 224, JOMC 249, JOMC 329, JOMC 335*; Public Relations (JOMC 492.03) - Grammar Proficiency Exam, JOMC 220, JOMC 224, JOMC 276, JOMC 330, JOMC 390, JOMC 386*. This course is not normally offered in the summer. (*Must be enrolled in or must have completed these courses).
