This is an intensive study of professional practices, skills, etiquette and attitudes of the mass communication industry in preparation for an off-campus field learning experience.

Prerequisite(s): There are different prerequisites for different concentrations: Mass Media Production (JOMC 492.01) - Grammar Proficiency Exam, JOMC 206 , JOMC 220 , JOMC 244 , JOMC 259 , JOMC 275 , JOMC 306  or JOMC 375 *, ; Multimedia Journalism (JOMC 492.02) - Grammar Proficiency Exam, JOMC 220 , JOMC 224 , JOMC 249 , JOMC 329 , JOMC 335 *; Public Relations (JOMC 492.03) - Grammar Proficiency Exam, JOMC 220 , JOMC 224 , JOMC 276 , JOMC 330 , JOMC 390 , JOMC 386 *. This course is not normally offered in the summer. (*Must be enrolled in or must have completed these courses).
