ANSC 440 Comparative Immunology will focus on how immune cells, organs and tissues function to maintain homeostasis with a special emphasis on similarities and differences between the immune responses of animals. Topics such as self and non-self- recognition, innate and adaptive defense mechanisms, maternal/neonatal immunity, immune deficiencies, diseases and disorders and methods for modulating immunity will be covered.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 220, BIOL 221.
