This course covers the fundamentals of chemical kinetics, rate theories and chemical reactor design. Homogeneous reactors are emphasized. Heterogeneous systems and catalysis are introduced. Students design chemical reactors for batch and flow systems.

Prerequisite(s): CHEN 320 (with a grade of “C” or higher), CHEN 312, CHEM 221.
