This course examines the poetry, short stories, and novels of significant African-American male writers from the 20th century to the present. Focus will be given to the literary and historical elements which reflect the African-American male’s experience in America, as well as his contributions to and place within the African-American literary tradition.

Prerequisite(s): ENGL 101. This course is open to non-majors.
