MATH 240 - Introduction to Scientific Programming for Mathematics Majors When Offered: F;S;SS

This course teaches mathematics majors problem-solving in mathematics through algorithmic and computer program development. MATLAB and Mathematica will be used to apply mathematical algorithms and problem-solving techniques to selected numerical or symbolic computation problems from algebra, trigonometry, discrete mathematics and calculus.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 131 .
