PHYS 416 - Electromagnetism II When Offered: S

This course is the continuation of PHYS 415 . It is an intermediate course in Maxwell’s theory of electromagnetism. Electromagnetic phenomena are presented. This includes electromagnetic wave propagation, reflection and refraction, absorption and dispersion, dipole and point charge radiation. Relativistic electrodynamics is also presented. Applications to problems in engineering will be considered.
Prerequisite(s): PHYS 415 .
