This course begins with an introduction to sample spaces and probability, including combinatorics. It covers continuous and discrete random variables, univariate and multivariate, with related topics such as marginal and conditional distributions, expectations, and moment generating functions. Special distributions and the central limit theorem are also covered.
Prerequisite(s): STAT 324 and MATH 231 .
