This course provides students with fundamental concepts and tools to understand business analytics and its role in decision making. Concepts such as how analytics are used in businesses, the types of analytics, the analytics process, data quality, ethics in analytics, and careers in analytics are covered. Students are introduced to tools and statistical techniques which are utilized to transform data for descriptive and predictive analyses.

Prerequisite(s): Minimum grade of C in BTEC 110 or BUAN 132, and in ECON 206.
