Physics Minor

The Minor in Physics shall consist of at least 20 credit hours, as follows:

Required Courses:

PHYS 241 - General Physics I 3 Credit(s)
PHYS 251 - General Physics I Lab 1 Credit(s)
PHYS 242 - General Physics II 3 Credit(s)
PHYS 252 - General Physics II Lab 1 Credit(s)
PHYS 306 - Introduction to Modern Physics (formerly PHYS 406) 3 Credit(s)

Elective Courses:

An additional 9 credit hours from PHYS 101 and / or any physics courses numbered 300 or above. Students must choose the elective physics courses with the approval of the department chair.

Notes:

Students completing the Minor in Physics must earn a grade of “C” or better in all courses for the minor.
Students must complete a minimum of 24 academic credits before declaring a minor.
All other requirements under the Minor Field of Undergraduate Study Policy apply.
